As a Scawen Rd resident I think this causes more problems than it solves, sadly. Not convinced we need a ‘play street’ given the park is right there - would this really be used? It’s also likely to increase the issue with parents dropping their kids off then needing to turn/reverse out, making the issue worse and increasing danger to kids. Would prefer to see better traffic control and parking measures on both roads. Especially Grinstead. School drop off and pick up hours are the worst, but residents shouldn’t suffer for this.

Close the road in front of the whole school from Grinsted Rod to where the houses start. Introduce controlled parking so the school can be allocated sme spaces. Residents can have the rest. Building contractors and other non-residents should not be parking here. No paring along the perimiter of the park. There is too much hardstanding in these proposal. Introduce trees and planting. No trampolines. This is not safe with hundreds of children exiting the school. Trees, trees,trees! Perhaps a raised meadow bed or other planting. This proposal just looks like a closed road.

Reading the comments about parking it is long overdue to introduce parking permits on al the local streets. If one happens to go out when there is a Milwall home game it is almost impossible to find anywhere to park. I would wholeheartedly support discouraging parents from picking children up by car. It is a primary school serving a particular catchment area therefore most people should be able to walk to the school. Selecting from the given pick list looks like a way of getting the answers you want - they are all positive. There should be an option to say ‘none of the above’
