Prince Street

Prince Street was previously a popular rat-run for vehicles avoiding Evelyn Street and experienced high levels of illegal pavement parking. LB Lewisham worked with local community groups Deptford Folk, Lewisham Cyclists, London Car Free Day as well as the Dog and Bell pub to launch a road closure trial in Autumn 2019 using an Experimental Traffic Order (ETO). Public consultation on the closure of Prince Street revealed 85% in support versus 10% no response and 5% not in support. The scheme is now proposed to be made permanent.
